WANDERLUST

These photographs are snapshots of places I’ve visited and the people I’ve met in my travels. Some of the photographs are of acquaintances while others are of friends and family. Although the process of making each photograph was not entirely informal as most snapshots are, they remain personal and casual. When it came time for me to make this edit, I picked images that expressed the thrill I experienced when I pressed down the shutter. This was in part the sensation of connecting with the world, but for the most part, it was the feeling of anticipation and longing to possess something beautiful that was otherwise unobtainable and transitory.
